Dolphins keep spending on offense, sign WR Brandon Gibson

This is getting a little ridiculous. The Dolphins have brought in another receiver. This time, it's former Rams wideout Brandon Gibson @Bgibson04. ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news, and terms of Gibson's deal are not yet known. He caught 51 passes for 691 yards last season, much of it spent acting as the Rams' No. 2 wide receiver.

Fantasy Analysis:

However, given what Miami has done in the past couple of days, Gibson won't be anywhere close to a top option in this passing attack. You've got to figure he is behind at least Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and newly acquired tight end Dustin Keller in the pecking order. Gibson isn't overly talented, but he provides tremendous depth for this offense. He, much like Davone Bess @davonebess, probably won't be much of a fantasy factor. On the other hand, Ryan Tannehill @ryantannehill1 should be on many upcoming sleeper lists.

If your a Dolphin fan, suffering year of mediocrity there is nothing "a little ridiculous" about this signing. Bereft of talent in most key areas, the Dolphins have the both the cap money and the draft picks in the upcoming draft to turn this team on a dime. Ireland has spent the better part of three years setting up this scenario (and absorbing much criticism) to be in this position. If they bring J Long LT back into the fold this weekend, how can you not rate this one of the best FA periods by a team in a long time. Of course, time will tell on that but it has the feeling of a team on the move.
