Capitalization included, so you know it must be bad.
Those words were tweeted out Friday by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, who was told by a source about Beanie Wells' "BAD wheel." Wells, who was cut by Arizona on Monday, was in Pittsburgh earlier this week to take a physical. According to Dulac, he left team headquarters without any contract discussion.
Wells missed games due to knee ailments in 2010 and 2011, and his knees have bothered him throughout his four-year career.
This jibes with what Kent Somers from the Arizona Republic tweeted on Wednesday. He said the Cardinals were "not optimistic" about Wells' right knee. It'll be interesting to see what route Beanie takes next, because it looks like surgery is not too far off in his future. Whatever his fate, he won't be signing anywhere for a while.
