Lions HC Jim Schwartz talks about how he plans to use RB Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush @ReggieBush has been in the NFL since 2006. His two seasons with the Dolphins were the only ones in which he was given more than 200 carries. The Lions signed him to a four-year deal last week to be their lead back, but don't look for Detroit to deploy Bush in the same manner. Head coach Jim Schwartz wants to take a page from what Bush's first pro team did with him.
"Our plan for him is a little bit different than [what Miami did], maybe going back to a little more the way he was used with the New Orleans Saints," Schwartz said during a Friday radio interview. "We think he can have a greater impact on the game when we give him the ball on his terms, on our terms, rather than running the ball into hard-eight boxes."

Fantasy Analysis:

PPR owners have to love this. This sounds like a plan to give Bush the ball more often out in space, as a receiver. He caught more than 160 passes in his first two seasons with the Saints. He might have logged a couple of years with more than 100 receptions if he hadn't gotten hurt. He averaged 38 catches per year with the Dolphins. That number was destined to go up with Bush a part of the pass-happy Lions, and Schwartz's comments further confirm that. He is an RB1 in PPR leagues.
