Carson Palmer might want to start looking for plane flight times out of Oakland that work best for him. It looks like the Raiders are closing in on acquiring another quarterback. According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn is almost a Raider, and Oakland would give up a 2013 draft pick and a 2014 conditional pick if the deal is completed.
Flynn signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with Seattle a little more than 12 months ago, but due to the emergence of Russell Wilson, he spent the season as a backup.
According to Breer, the draft-pick compensation has been finalized, but Flynn and the Raiders need to agree to a contract. There's still a chance that this ends up being a lot of nothing, but it sure sounds like Flynn is going to be dressed in silver and black this season. Presumably, he would head into a training camp battle with Terrelle Pryor . The prevailing thought is that Palmer will move on to join the Cardinals, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. This post will be updated later once the deal is done, and we know how much money and draft picks are being exchanged.
