UPDATE: Bills, QB Kevin Kolb agree to 2-year deal

Update: According to Adam Caplan, Kolb and the Bills have agreed to a two-year deal worth $13 million.

There is no debating that the Bills need to add a quarterback. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, they will do so sometime Saturday night. What is debatable is if this acquisition makes them any better at that position. The Bills are nearing a deal with former Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb. The only other quarterbacks on Buffalo's current roster are Tarvaris Jackson @7tjackson and Aaron Corp. Arizona cut Kolb on March 15, two years into a six-year, $65 million pact. He threw 17 touchdowns in 15 games with Arizona.

Fantasy Analysis:

Ugh. I don't know what to say about this. Is Kolb an upgrade over Jackson? Yes, in my opinion, but it is very close. This has to be a move for depth more than anything. If Kolb can rediscover the ability that made him a "franchise quarterback" in Philadelphia, this will be a coup for the Bills. But odds are they still need their quarterback of the future, someone they might try to find through next month's draft. Even with Kolb, my view on the Bills' offense remains the same: Avoid the entire passing game, and get ready for a ton of C.J. Spiller.
