Bills pull off the biggest surprise of Thursday, make E.J. Manuel the first QB drafted

Who knows what the future holds for E.J. Manuel @EJManuel3, but right now, the Bills see him as being nothing less than their quarterback of the future. And perhaps the present. Buffalo selected the Florida State alum with the 16th overall pick in the draft.

Fantasy Analysis:

Hey, all any player needs is one team to fall in love with him, right? And there are things to love about Manuel. He's a big guy with a lot of athleticism and a strong arm. As a pure athlete, he's a great pick. As an NFL player, well ....
Manuel is still a project. He has a bunch of improvements to make, like footwork and accuracy to name a couple. NFL.com states that his closest player comparison is Blaine Gabbert. Yikes. It's a surprising reach that only looks worse now because the quarterbacks who were predicted to be taken before Manuel (Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib, Matt Barkley, etc.) are all still on the board entering the second round.
Tonight, the Bills are happy that they got their man, and it's not like any of those other QBs are sure-fire Pro Bowlers. But right now, you have to think that Kevin Kolb @KevinKolb_4 is the favorite to be the Bills' starting quarterback come Week 1. Again, I'm going to avoid this entire passing game. Manuel is worth a thought in dynasty leagues only.
