The Tennessee Titans could have a deal done for free agent defensive end John Abraham finished up by the end of the week. Rumors of a possible retirement have come and gone and now the 35-year-old looks to be another piece of the puzzle acquired by Tennessee during this active offseason. Last year, Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley combined for 12.5 sacks. The Titans also drafted LSU DE Lavar Edwards in the fifth round, who is currently penciled in as the team's No. 2 LDE.
The Titans added a number of notable players via free agency: S Bernard Pollard , S George Wilson , TE Delanie Walker , QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, RB Shonn Greene and WR Kevin Walter. Adding the league's active leader in sacks could result in the biggest impact of them all. The 13-year vet has 32.5 sacks in his last three seasons combined and ranks tied for 13th all-time. An improved pass rush can make everyone's job on this defense easier.
