Broncos RB Willis McGahee, Giants WR Hakeem Nicks still staying away from OTAs

In our continuing coverage of NFL Players Choosing Not To Participate In Football Activities That Don't Require Their Participation, key offensive cogs for a couple of recently contending teams are still missing from organized team activities.
Broncos running back Willis McGahee remains absent as Denver begins its second week of OTAs. Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is also not in camp. That hasn't made Giants head coach Tom Coughlin a happy man.

Fantasy Analysis:

These OTAs are voluntary workouts. You don't have to show up. But McGahee is the only Bronco not at camp with an unexcused absence, and Coughlin certainly seems to think this stuff should be mandatory. I don't know which player I should be more concerned about at this point, but I guess it's Nicks, because this might turn into a nasty holdout. But let me stress I think that's highly unlikely to occur, and I am sporting the absolute lowest level of concern here. With Nicks and Victor Cruz both waiting patiently to get paid, Rueben Randle @RuebenRandle has reportedly turned in a great camp and has impressed his coaches a lot. He may not make anyone forget about the two receivers who should be running with the first team in front of him, but it should mean more playing time for Randle this year, and he has tremendous upside.
Although McGahee likes to work on his own during these voluntary OTAs, he's probably miffed as well after Denver selected Montee Ball in the draft and viewed him as an immediate starter. I don't think McGahee, 31, would mind much if he was handed his walking papers during training camp.
