Packers running back DuJuan Harris will miss the rest of offseason workouts, including mandatory minicamp. He won't be on the field again until training camp after having what He described as a fist-sized cyst removed from one of his lungs, next to his heart. The cyst was found during a team physical.
Head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that he expects Harris to be ready for training camp. Once there, Harris will try to earn his playing time in a competition with rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin . Harris was the Packers' best running back at times late last season, especially in the playoffs. But with Lacy looking like the early-down runner, and Franklin possibly becoming the third-down back, Harris might not see much PT unless one of those two players flops in camp or gets injured. Harris is currently off my draft board.
