Titans' offense starting over with brand-new playbook

The Titans have a new offensive coordinator this season, Dowell Loggains. And he has brought a new offense with him. How new?
"Everything," wide receiver Kenny Britt @KennyBritt_18 said Thursday via David Climer of The Tennessean. "New Plays. New formations. We're starting from scratch."
Here is how Climer described Loggains' plan: "Think of it as an offensive smorgasbord that begins with a solid running game but quickly branches out to a passing scheme that takes its share of deep shots but settles for shorter throws when necessary."

Fantasy Analysis:

That description pretty much tells me nothing. It sounds like what most teams in the NFL want to do. Pass deep, pass short, run well. OK.
But I will admit that this makes me nervous. I mean, maybe a full change was needed after the Titans spent the past four seasons in the bottom half of the league in scoring offense, including a rank of 23rd last year. But this is a young offense, led by a young quarterback who has had a rough go of it over his first 16 career games. There are destined to be many more bumps in the road for Jake Locker and Co. as they learn how to play together and under Loggains' plan this year. And that could lead to some really ugly performances.
We do know that Loggains wants to be run-first, and the team is concentrating on getting the ball to Chris Johnson @ChrisJohnson28 more often as a receiver, so I think he is still a very strong RB2. And I still believe that a healthy Kenny Britt can pay hefty fantasy dividends. But everything else may be very hit-and-miss, Locker most especially and importantly.
