Jets TE Jeff Cumberland is pretty confident in himself

The Jets haven't made any moves to replace tight end Dustin Keller, so Jeff Cumberland @Cumberland85 is the favorite to become the team's full-time starter after three seasons in New York. And that's the way it should be if Cumberland is as good as he says he is.
"I feel like I am one of the premiere, elite tight ends," Cumberland said via Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger. "I'm big, I'm strong, I'm fast. I mean, I have all the tools to be one of the top guys in the league."
Cumberland caught 29 passes last season, which tied for second-most on the team.

Fantasy Analysis:

Cumberland could have real value this year. Yes, I'm being serious. Because, one, a tight end is always a young quarterback's best friend -- aside from a strong offensive line -- and I expect Geno Smith to see plenty of playing time in 2013. And two, someone has to catch passes in this offense, right? Cumberland is big and strong, and he did once run a 4.45 40-yard dash at his pro day back in 2010. But that speed looked all but gone when he started to make some ripples in the league last year. So, Cumberland's scouting report on himself isn't entirely true.
Look, I feel dirty for even halfway justifying a Jets receiver for fantasy purposes, and some of you reading this probably think I've already wasted too much of your time with this many words about a little-known, sluggish tight end on an awful team. I know you won't draft Cumberland, but don't forget about him completely. He could surpass 50 receptions easily.
