Colts sign RB Ahmad Bradshaw to 1-year contract

The Colts and running back Ahmad Bradshaw have fought through at least five days of negotiations and stalling, but the two sides have finally agreed to a deal. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Colts signed Bradshaw on Tuesday to a one-year deal.

Fantasy Analysis:

Bradshaw, who was released in February after spending six years with the Giants, had another foot operation this offseason, but he received full clearance from doctors to participate in football activities in April. Although his feet are ultra-fragile, Bradshaw has always been a tough runner who is very proficient as a receiver and as a blocker, which should work very well in the Colts' offense and provide a small boost to Andrew Luck's fantasy value. Bradshaw immediately becomes the team's best running back and should be the starter without a doubt. This signing most likely relegates Vick Ballard @VickBallard to being a change-of-pace player. Bradshaw is now back in the low-end RB2 range. Ballard is a handcuff whom I will probably rank in the low-to-mid 40s among RBs. Donald Brown @Donaldb31 or Delone Carter @DeloneCarter will be released soon.
