It's not as exciting around these parts as what the Colts just did, but there is another signing to report. Or at least, a near-signing. Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said Tuesday that he has been "impressed" with wide receiver Donte' Stallworth, and the team is planning to sign Stallworth soon, barring an unexpectedly decline in play. Stallworth played one game for the Patriots last year and spent time with the Redskins in 2011.
Stallworth's time in Washington was actually his most productive season since 2007, but he caught just 22 passes for 309 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Past Pierre Garcon, the Redskins don't have much at wide receiver, but Stallworth, 33, would have to really excel in camp just to make the team. He would have to do more than that to have a hint of fantasy value. I won't hold my breath.
