HBO's popular reality sports documentary TV series "Hard Knocks" will be back in 2013 and will follow the Cincinnati Bengals. The show was in The Queen City back in 2009 and featured the persistent antics of WR Chad Ochocinco. Head coach Marvin Lewis, making his third appearance on the show, consulted with the players before giving his blessing for the show to return. Instead of Ochocinco and QB Carson Palmer headlining the show, it will be QB Andy Dalton and WR A.J. Green .
Personally, I think Hard Knocks needs to be on year-round. It should have its own channel. Are they hiring? OK, I'm a fan. I don't understand NFL teams being disinterested in the show. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Fans eat it up. The Jets took the show to the next level and even though Miami head coach Joe Philbin was about as boring as they come, it's an interesting show that delves inside the realities of running a team. It's certainly better than much of the fodder on the 1,000 channels available.
