Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez barred from Patriots facility; no arrest warrant yet

News in this Aaron Hernandez @AaronHernandez crime drama has been flowing fast, so it's inevitable that some things that get reported may not be exactly correct at the moment. Case in point, an arrest warrant may be issued for Hernandez sometime soon, but a source has told The Boston Globe's Wesley Lowery that warrant hasn't been issued yet. It was reported earlier Friday that Hernandez had been charged with obstruction of justice in connection with the homicide investigation involving 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Of course, there is more: Hernandez was asked to leave Gillette Stadium when he showed up for a Thursday workout, according to the Boston Herald. Patriots spokesman Stacey James told the Herald he had no idea why Hernandez came to the Patriots' home stadium yesterday, adding that no coaches were present.

Fantasy Analysis:

At some point, you have to take a step back and ask yourself, "What do we really know here?" And really, it['s not much, because it seems like everything is coming from law-enforcement sources who have no incentive to actually tell the truth and may have other agendas in regard to the investigation.
Hernandez's fantasy value is dropping, obviously. How far it drops depends on what crimes he is charged with -- and he will be charged with something at some point -- and how the NFL decides to take action. Hernandez could be looking at a suspension even if he is found guilty of nothing, because, as FOX Sports' Alex Marvez points out, guilt doesn't need to be proven for one to violate the league's personal conduct policy.

Usually like your insights but your comment in regards to the police and their honesty (or lack of it) was unnecessary and out of line. Hernandez may not play this year due to a number of legal reasons, this investigation as well as the shooting in Florida may be reopened and as you pointed out the Leagues conduct policy, You should have stick more with the facts and possibilities verses making a personal attack on law enforcement.

imfubar, cool your jets. I do not think that Brian Murphy was insinuating that the police are corrupt or unprecedentedly dishonest. Quite often the police will purposefully release false information in an attempt to cause a suspect to make a mistake by making a rash decision. I appreciate your vigor in defending the police department but think if you re-read Brian's "Fantasy Analysis" you will understand that you misread him (i.e. "have other agendas"). Best of luck to you in your FF leagues.
