Rams' Daryl Richardson is early favorite to be starting RB

Rams' Daryl Richardson is early favorite to be starting RB

That comes from CBSSports.com's Clark Judge, but it's not exactly a strong belief. Judge wrote Tuesday in his Rams season preview that Richardson is the favorite to replace Steven Jackson as the team's starting running back, "mostly because he's the only guy with a resume."
Richardson ran for 475 yards on 98 carries last year as a rookie. He also caught 24 passes.

Fantasy Analysis:

But we all know Richardson will compete for the starting job in camp with Isaiah Pead @iPead, Terrance Ganaway, and rookie Zac Stacy @ZSTACY_. It's truly a competition with no true front-runner, but Ganaway is the unlikeliest of the bunch to carve out a major role. I think the Rams will end up employing some sort of committee approach, with Richardson being the speedy, perimeter, third-down back. I think Stacy will end up getting the majority of the early-down work, but much like what Judge is doing here, that is only a guess. This situation is so muddled right now, I am avoiding it entirely in drafts.
