According to Chris Russell of ESPN Radio 980 in Washington D.C., no time or place or date has been set for the Redskins to medically clear quarterback Robert Griffin III . But it sounds like he will be cleared sooner rather than later. Citing "someone very involved on the medical side," Russell tweeted Saturday that Griffin has passed every test the team has given him. In fact, Russell stated that Griffin "smashes" his tests, and the team has been "astonished so far" with how well Griffin's rehab has gone.
We haven't heard much about Griffin in the past few weeks, but it's obvious he is still on course to be participating early or by the start of training camp, which opens July 25. I said on Wednesday's FFToolbox podcast that I want to wait to see how RG3 looks in exhibition games before putting him the top 10 among fantasy QBs, but that move seems to be inevitable given how upbeat all of the news surrounding his knee rehab has been.
