What was once considered a "major upset" if it didn't happen looks like it won't be happening. Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald reports, via a source, that the Dolphins have moved on from free-agent fullback Vonta Leach for the time being. Salguero tweets that the Dolphins will see what they have in the fullbacks on their roster before figuring out if they need to head into negotiations with Leach. Salguero adds that the Ravens are Leach's strongest option now, and the Texans are behind them.
The Ravens cut Leach in June.
I would like to know how all of this transpired, because Leach wanted to play for Miami, the interest seemed to be mutual, and money couldn't have been an issue because the two sides had not talked about financial terms.
Oh well. The best lead-blocking fullback remains on the open market.
