I'll just let the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero tell the story and withhold comment until the field below.
"Dolphins personnel man just told me team will get a huge year from Daniel Thomas IF he stays healthy," Salguero wrote Monday on Twitter.
Seriously, what is that? I didn't know one of Daniel Thomas' relatives worked inside the Dolphins' organization. In two years since he was drafted in the second round, Thomas has been a bust. He has missed seven games of his first 32 games and averaged 3.5 yards per carry. There is a Dolphins running back who is expected to have a huge year, but it's definitely not Thomas. He had his chance. Now he will most likely be a change-of-pace and goal-line back behind starting RB Lamar Miller . Thomas should be drafted only as a handcuff. Miller is a low-end RB2.
