Texans don't want to give RB Arian Foster another 350 carries

The Texans have probably shortened Arian Foster @ArianFoster's career with how much they have used him in the past few years. But such is life for a workhorse running back. Foster took on a career-high 351 carries in 2012, but the Texans would like to see that number come down this year, according to the Houston Chronicle. Running back Ben Tate @BenTateRB staying healthy will play a major part toward that goal.

Fantasy Analysis:

You know, the Texans didn't have to run Foster out there 351 times and give him 40 more touches as a receiver. They could have been more careful with Foster and given some extra work to Justin Forsett, who averaged 5.9 yards per carry. But when you're fighting for a division title, you dance with who brung ya. I understand the usage even if it was too much.
That's over now, and the Texans don't want to go back there. Good. But Tate needs to stay on the field. He missed five games last year because of foot and hamstring injuries and was rarely at 100 percent. He is reportedly healthy now, and he could return to his 2011 role in which he got 10 touches per week and became a flex option in his own right for fantasy leagues. Foster would still take on 300+ touches, but it won't be that close to 390. In that scenario, I still consider Foster to be a top-three RB.
