Texans RB Arian Foster won't rush calf injury

Texans running back Arian Foster @ArianFoster has been rehabbing a calf injury for two months. Head coach Gary Kubiak said earlier this week he was surprised that Foster had to start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, but it's clear that Foster still isn't at full strength. And he is willing to be patient for as long as it takes to get there.
"I've played through a lot of things, this is just something you can't," Foster said via Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle. "There's no reason to right now. I'm just going to take my time. When I feel 100 percent confident, I'll be back. It's just got some light soreness in there. I can do pretty much everything. We're just going to take it day by day."

Fantasy Analysis:

It would take a couple more weeks of non-practice for me to start changing my view on Foster as a top-three running back. But the long recovery period he has needed for this injury is alarming, and the time off might lead to Foster being rusty and even more prone to injury when the season starts. I wouldn't put C.J. Spiller, Jamaal Charles or LeSean McCoy in front of him just yet, but I think Foster is definitely behind Adrian Peterson and Doug Martin in my RB ranks.
