While we await confirmation on the damage sustained inside Jeremy Maclin's right knee, here's a positive note about a wide receiver.
After a sophomore season in which he hauled in 79 passes, 10 touchdowns and almost 1,200 yards, Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is already shining at training camp. Quarterback Matt Ryan said the 24-year-old playmaker just continues to get better.
"He's coming into his third year. I think he's really starting to come into his own in terms of his confidence and understanding what we are doing offensively," Ryan told Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
NFC South defensive backs should be very afraid. Jones is a top-five fantasy WR, and he should remain in that tier for years to come. He could become the best wide receiver in football in a couple of seasons.
