Chiefs HC Andy Reid compares RB Jamaal Charles to Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy

It's no secret that the Chiefs plan to use running back Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 more in the passing game this year. According to the Associated Press, Charles has become a favorite target for quarterback Alex Smith in training camp, and head coach Andy Reid said Charles has a skill set similar to a couple of productive running backs from his past.
"He's capable of doing the same things (Brian) Westbrook did, (LeSean) McCoy did, as far as the passing game," Reid said of Charles. "He's a legitimate threat with his speed, his route-running ability and his hands. He catches the ball very easily."

Fantasy Analysis:

Westbrook averaged 71 catches per season from 2004-08. McCoy averaged 55 catches per season from 2009-12. And each player would have had better totals without injuries striking them down. Reid wants to use Charles often as a receiver, and we know Smith loves to check it down. Charles should record at least 65 receptions this year. His single-season high is 45.

Love Charles this season. Should be a yardage machine this year as he'll get lots of targets and touches.
