Another WR done for the season: Chargers' Danario Alexander tears ACL

Danario Alexander @D_Alexander84 finally lived up to his fantasy hype with a stellar second half off the 2012. Alas, there won't be a chance for a full season follow up now that the Chargers wide receiver tore his ACL and is done for the season. Alexander, who during a five-game stretch last season caught 30 passes for 494 yards and five touchdowns, entered this season as the Chargers No. 1 wide receiver under new head coach Mike McCoy.

Fantasy Analysis:

Tough blow obviously for the 6-foot-5 target, who turns 25 on Wednesday, not to mention Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense. In theory this means more looks for Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown @VincentBrown86, but the former hasn't shown he can be a consistent threat while the latter struggles to stay on the field. Brown only returned to practice on Tuesday after missing seven sessions with a hamstring injury. He remains an intriguing WR3 option, while Floyd moves closer to WR4 range. Without Alexander, rookie Keenan Allen might get a shot for reps. Even if Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal do, don't get excited.
