Newly minted ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky, formerly with the Green Bay Press-Gazette, suggested that Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has shined brighter than fellow rookie back Johnathan Franklin . "(Lacy is) going to be their starting running back, based on the way he's played in camp," Demovsky reported. Also of note is that Lacy sat out Wednesday's practice because of what is considered to be a non-serious hamstring injury.
This recommendation is far from official; however Demovsky has spent a lot of time around the team and likely has plenty of connections made within the staff. Lacy was presumed to have the edge solely based on draft position, so count this as yet another indicator that the former Alabama Crimson Tide runner is the early favorite. It's worth mentioning that Lacy is certainly injury-prone so keep a look out for any more updates regarding his hamstring.
