Good news for the Packers: Their "starting running back" is eligible to practice. DuJuan Harris was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list on July 25 because of a knee injury, but he was taken off of it Monday. He won't jump back into team drills right away; head coach Mike McCarthy said Harris will start with individual drills.
Harris doesn't have a realistic shot to be the Packers' Week 1 starter, but he is battling for a job on third downs. Rookie Johnathan Franklin is his stiffest competition and the favorite to become the team's change-of-pace RB.
