This wouldn't be much of a story if the Chargers' receiving corps was at full strength. But that is far, far from the case, and another loss would just add to the misery. So, here's this: Rookie wideout Keenan Allen left practice early on Tuesday to get treatment on his left knee. Head coach Mike McCoy said the treatment relates to the torn PCL injury that ended Allen's 2012 season at the University of California.
So, this sounds like maintenance more than anything else. We'll let you know if it's something more serious. With the recent injuries to Danario Alexander and Malcom Floyd, Allen has a good shot of beginning his first NFL season in a starting lineup. His draft stock should be rising.
