Patriots QB Tom Brady tweaks left knee in practice

Sound the air horn! Head for shelter! Gather up all pets and non-perishables because Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is hurt!
Actually, Brady just tweaked his left knee during Wednesday's practice. According to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Brady went down after throwing an incomplete pass to Aaron Dobson during 11-on-11 drills. After a few moments on the ground, he walked to the sidelines with a slight limp but under his own power. He missed one play before re-entering the practice for a few more snaps. He then walked off the field after consulting with head coach Bill Belichick and others.
Just in case you were wondering, that's the same knee in which Brady's suffered a torn ACL five years ago.

Fantasy Analysis:

Brady will probably miss a day's worth of practice, but this is not a big deal.
The bigger question is what Brady will do with his new cast of characters on offense. Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola is dependable when healthy, but his body has broken down far too often. Rookies such as Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins, Josh Boyce, and tight end Zach Sudfeld will have to make contributions early and often. And some of those kids -- Dobson, Thompkins, Sudfeld -- are already playing with the first-team offense regularly.
Running back Shane Vereen @ShaneVereen34 will be relied upon to catch more passes out of the backfield, and Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski should be able to play at some point.
That makes it look like Brady has a large supply of quality targets and perhaps he does. We just don't know yet with most of these guys. Drafting Brady means you believe that this group will not let him down this year. Or you believe that Brady is so good, he can get his numbers with just about anyone on the other end of his throws. I agree with that line of thinking. He has done it before.
