Man, it is rough being a Browns backup running back these days. Montario Hardesty is expected to miss a couple of regular-season games after undergoing knee surgery, and after tonight's events, you should expect Dion Lewis to miss much more time than that. That's because Lewis broke his fibula during Thursday's win over the Lions.
Update: Lewis needs surgery to repair his broken leg and is possibly out for the season.
It's too bad, because he was enjoying a stellar preseason. Lewis had gained 82 total yards on 17 touches and seemed to be locked in as Cleveland No. 2 RB. Brandon Jackson and Chris Ogbonnaya move up the depth chart and are the top two contenders to be Trent Richardson's handcuff.
