Giants 'expect' RB David Wilson to start Week 1

It took a while, but the Giants have now publically stated David Wilson @4stillRunning would start the regular season opener. As a guest on ESPN Radio, general manager Jerry Reese said, "We expect [Wilson] to be our starter, and be in the backfield with Andre Brown @drebrown35, who had a terrific season going last year until he got hurt. [Brown's] had the injury bug a little bit since he's been in the league. But if he can stay healthy, and David Wilson comes on like we expect him too, we think we can have a pretty dynamic backfield."

Fantasy Analysis:

This should give Wilson's ADP a small bump. We say small because it's already in the third round range despite minimal production as a rookie due to large chunks of time spent on the bench. That didn't stop FFToolbox from touting the shifty runner throughout last season on the site's podcast or name him our 2013 Breakout Player back in June. He'll need to avoid those pesky fumbles and provide solid pass protection in order to maintain starter status. If it's just about running with the ball, Wilson has no equal in New York's backfield.
