Jets QB Mark Sanchez has bruised right shoulder joint

Fortunately for Jets head coach Rex Ryan, quarterback Mark Sanchez @Mark_Sanchez's shoulder injury isn't too serious. Sanchez has a bruised right shoulder joint, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Sanchez sustained the injury after getting hit Saturday against the Giants, a game in which Sanchez didn't enter until the fourth quarter. Sanchez won't play in the team's preseason finale on Thursday.

Fantasy Analysis:

Had Sanchez made it through the preseason healthy, he would have been the vast favorite to be the Jets' Week 1 starter. But Ryan put him at risk in the fourth quarter of a game he reportedly didn't expect to play in anyway, and now it looks like Geno Smith @GenoSmith_12, who started Saturday and threw three first-half interceptions, may have to take the first snaps of the season. Fantasy analysis? You don't need any here.
