In two separate reports, the New York Giants are addressing the news that running back Andre Brown is expected to miss anywhere from four to six weeks with a fractured left leg. Furthermore, when discussing the repercussions of that injury, it was reported that when asked if running back David Wilson would see more touches, Tom Coughlin said, "You have to do what you have to do in order to win. It is a game of strength and endurance and power and that kind of thing. David is a guy who has outstanding endurance and strength. I'm not aware of what the number (of touches) might be, but I'm sure we'll work that out."
Wilson, as expected, is rising even higher up draft boards in the wake of Brown's injury. Wilson should see extensive playing time on all downs including goal-line work. If he can factor into the passing game as well, he has Top 10 RB potential. You will likely need to reach for Wilson at the bottom of the second round to have any shot at drafting him.
