A source tells Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk that Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee during Thursday's loss to the Broncos, and he will miss four-to-six weeks. Jones suffered the injury when a teammate, Brynden Trawick, collided with him as he prepared to field a punt. Jones' right knee hyperextended and he didn't return to the game.
Considering how Jones' knee bent, the diagnosis could have been worse. The Ravens' receiving corps gets even thinner, but maybe there is a gleam with Marlon Brown, about whom you can read a little more here. He was targeted just six times on Thursday, but he ended up as the top fantasy scorer among Ravens wide receivers thanks to a fourth-quarter score. He caught four passes for 65 yards in total. Joe Flacco isn't going to have many games with 60 or more attempts, but Brown is the man who needs to step up across from Torrey Smith for as long as Jones is out. He should be picked up in deeper leagues.
