It was an exciting Week 1 across the board and there were many eye-popping and cringe-inducing performances. One interesting development is New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen is currenly the only player at his position to rush for over 100 yards. That's very surprising considering Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson reeled off a 78-yard touchdown run on his first carry. He finished with 93 yards. Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor produced one of the more note-worthy games, nearly leading his team to a victory over Andrew Luck and the Colts. Pryor is currently the league leader in rushing yards (112).
It's easy to overreact during and after Week 1. Many early round backs with high expectations struggled: David Wilson , Trent Richardson, C.J. Spiller , Maurice Jones-Drew , Marshawn Lynch and Lamar Miller to name a few. Be sure to make the most of the trade market value of any of these players as owners scramble to "fix" their teams by trading their studs to you. As they say, buy low and sell high.
