Giants don't say if RB David Wilson will start Sunday

David Wilson @4stillRunning's NFL debut was pretty bad. His 2013 debut was even worse. Wilson gained just 19 yards on seven carries and lost two fumbles Sunday night against the Cowboys. The Giants benched him after that second fumble and ran with Da'Rel Scott @DaRelScott_RB for most of the third quarter and all of the fourth. After the game, head coach Tom Coughlin said the team needs Wilson to play but wouldn't say if he would start the next game.
"Give us a little time to work on this thing," Coughlin said. "[Wilson is] still very much in our thoughts. He's got to play. He's a very talented young man. But you just can't do that. Every time they touch you, you're going to turn the ball over?"
The Giants play the Broncos next.

Fantasy Analysis:

Scott got five carries and five receptions, gaining 74 total yards. However, he also let a pass deflect right off his hands to Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr for a game-deciding pick-six. The Giants turned the ball over six times in one of the worst games this Giants fan has ever seen.
Wilson is a huge fantasy goat today, but perhaps the silver lining here is that Wilson is just getting his fumbles for the year out of the way early, just like in 2012. After he fumbled and was benched in Week 1 last year, Wilson didn't lose the ball again. Plus, Scott didn't look all that great, so there's no question that Wilson remains the team's best running back. But that Andre Brown injury is looking really big right now.
The Giants are working out a bunch of running backs and will likely sign one soon. I don't know if that person will be more of a threat to Wilson's fantasy value than Wilson himself. Right now, he is just a low-end RB2 heading into Week 2, but this situation should be clarified in the coming days.

So i drafted Andre Brown, 3 rounds later he breaks his league, my draft mind is now on tilt so i draft ryan torrain whom was cut by the giants, I am so confident that wilson will be a bust until he realizes talking care of the ball is more important than 2 more yards. I also picked up Willis McGahee last week feeling confident in my prediction, hopefully he shows he's still got fuel in the tank tomorrow and gets signed!

What scares me now is there's blood in the water. Even the opposing defenses water boy will be trying to strip the ball from him now. Maybe it will make him more cautious if Coughlins wrath hasn't already.

Crazy how things work. Everyone had this guy slated as a stud and right now he is a dud. I am sure he will get back in good graces as it seems he has trouble in 1st games of the season and many other rbs struggled week 1. I called RIdley being a bad top pick this year and if it wasnt for Vereen's injury he would be benched. Look for Spiller, Ridley, Morris, and Wilson all to get back on track within the next few weeks. If you are a Wilson owner it is time to pick up McGahee and if RIdley owner you may want to grab Bolden. I was confident that Blount may steal goalline touches but he looks a tad too slow. Good luck everyone.

Shame on me!

Last year I drafted Wilson after all the hype on the FFtoolbox podcasts. No too big of a deal, as it only cost me a late rnd draft pick. This year, the hype was back, and a foolishly bit again. But this year it cost me a 4th rnd pick.
