That opinion comes from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Danny Amendola injured his groin during Sunday's game against the Bills. However, he was able to re-enter and finish the day with 10 catches and more than 100 yards. Amendola was not spotted at Tuesday's walkthrough, and NFL Network's Albert Breer adds that Amendola is still being evaluated, and there is no word yet on the severity of his injury.
Let's hope that beat writers just simply missed seeing Amendola at the walkthrough, which didn't begin until the media left. Missing today's work would really hurt Amendola's chances of playing Thursday because the Patriots "crammed three days of practice into one walkthrough," according to Tom Brady. We should have an update on Amendola's status later today.
If he can't play versus the Jets, look for Brady to lean heavily on Julian Edelman and Kenbrell Thompkins. They are almost the only two men left standing in this passing game because of a rash of injuries.
