Who's in and who's out of the early games in Week 2

Who's in and who's out of the early games in Week 2

The odds of reaching the playoffs are long against NFL teams that start 0-2. The same principle stands in fantasy football, so let's not go there this week; let's get a win. To help you to that end, this post will be updated until the first kickoffs to inform you on all of the important actives and inactives in today's early games. We're keeping a close on Roddy White @roddywhiteTV, Julio Jones @juliojones_11, Dwayne Allen @Dallen83 and others.

-- Falcons WRs Roddy White and Julio Jones are both active for today's game versus the Rams. You know the risk is there, espcially with White. But If you have Julio, I think you've got to play him. White is more of a WR2 or WR3.
-- Shonn Greene is inactive for the Titans because of his knee injury. This doesn't really boost Chris Johnson @ChrisJohnson28's value since Jackie Battle will now be the one to vulture the goal-line carries.
-- Ravens running back Bernard Pierce is active despite a knee injury. He'll continue to share some carries with Ray Rice.
-- Rams running back Daryl Richardson @DRICH_26 is active, but so is Isaiah Pead @iPead, who is back from his one-week suspension. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch thinks Pead could get a lot of snaps today with Richardson at less than 100 percent, so Richardson is only a mid-range flex option versus Falcons.
-- Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is active. He has a toe injury, but he'll play through the pain. He's a solid TE1 even in the rain in Green Bay.
-- Colts tight end Dwayne Allen is inactive, as expected, because of a hip injury. Coby Fleener should have a bigger role in the Colts' offense, but he's still just a TE2.
-- Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are active for the Cowboys. Roll with them.
-- Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles admits he'll be playing through some pain today, but he's active and should be in all lineups possible.
-- Texans RBs Arian Foster and Ben Tate are both active. Foster is still a must-start. Tate is a very good flex play against the Titans.
-- Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar has recovered from his preseason foot sprain and is active. He's not worth playing, but he is worth adding as DeMarco Murray's backup.
-- Redskins kicker Kai Forbath is inactive due to a groin injury.

Players who have already been ruled out for Week 2 include Vick Ballard, Le'Veon Bell, and Blaine Gabbert.

Fantasy Analysis:

Ballard tore an ACL during Thursday's practice. The belief is Ahmad Bradshaw will now shoulder the load in the Colts' backfield, but I'm not so sure. He got only just seven carries last week, and it remains to be seen if he can handle 15-20 carries. The team shouldn't want to burden Bradshaw considering his injury history. It's only Week 2; they have entire season to think about. He'll see more touches, sure. But I think Donald Brown will be involved throughout the day, and Miami has a good run defense. As such, I think Bradshaw is best deployed as a flex today.
Bell remains out with his foot sprain. Other than Antonio Brown as a WR3, I don't trust anyone in the Steelers' offense this week. That team is already in disarray.
Gabbert will miss today's game against the Raiders because of a laceration on his throwing hand. Chad Henne is no great shakes, but I think he's a slight upgrade. That should mean better games for Cecil Shorts and Maurice Jones-Drew than Week 1.
