Packers confirm RB James Starks will start against Bengals

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Wedensday that running back Eddie Lacy is looking good despite suffering a concussion Sunday. McCarthy said Lacy has been attending meetings and "making progress." But that won't mean much to his fantasy owners for this week. McCarthy named James Starks @James44Starks as his starting running back for Sunday's game versus the Bengals. He said Starks "can run as many times as you need him."

Fantasy Analysis:

John Kuhn didn't practice Wednesday because of a hamstring injury, and rookie Johnathan Franklin @JFrank2308 appears to be in the doghouse for the moment, so Starks could get a boat load of touches. However, the Bengals have a top-10 rush defense and limited Matt Forte @MattForte22 to just 50 yards on 19 carries in Week 1. Starks is a low-end RB2 for now, and he'll become a backup once again when Lacy likely returns after the team's Week-4 bye.
