The New England Patriots upgraded tight end Rob Gronkowski to questionable on the team's injury report Friday. Gronkowski missed the entire pre-season and the first two games of the regular season recovering from offseason back surgery. According to ESPN.com insider Ed Werder, a source told him earlier in the week that there is a "50-50 chance" Gronkowski makes his return to the field against Tampa Bay on Sunday.
The Patriots desperately need Rob Gronkowski, one of the NFL's most dominant red-zone threats, back if he is able to play this weekend. Despite a 2-0 start, Tom Brady has completed just 48-of-91 (52 percent) of his passes. Gronkowski's return would give the entire Patriots offense a tremendous boost in fantasy value. If he plays for the Pats, he starts for fantasy owners.
