After Sunday's 38-0 loss to Carolina, Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks said "I can't throw the ball to myself." It was a reference to Nicks getting just one target during the game -- a target that didn't come until late in the fourth quarter.
It's true, but head coach Tom Coughlin wasn't pleased when he heard what Nicks had to say. His fantasy owners, on the other hand, should be very happy. Recent history has shown us that the squeaky wheel gets the grease at wide receiver. Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace basically said the same thing Nicks said to the press in Week 1; he came back with nine catches, 115 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Last week, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown complained to his offensive coordinator that he wasn't seeing the ball often enough; he put up 196 yards and two touchdows yesterday.
Go ahead and set it in stone: Big numbers are coming from Hakeem Nicks in Week 4 against the Chiefs. Well, only if the Giants' offensive line can protect Eli Manning for a few snaps.
