FOX Sports' Jay Glazer placed forth some major "scoopage" concerning Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor in an early Sunday tweet.
"Scoopage: despite T Pryor being cleared, Raiders players were told in team [meeting] last night that Matt Flynn, NOT Pryor, starts today," Glazer wrote.
This comes just hours after Vic Tafur of San Francisco Chronicle reported that, according to sources, Pryor will start against the Redskins.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport opined on Twitter that perhaps both quarterbacks will play. Considering this game doesn't kick off until late in the afternoon, putting Pryor on your bench is the safest course of action if you can't afford to wait. It's too bad, because he was looking like a low-end QB1 with such a fantastic matchup. But the presence of Flynn is bad news for the Raiders' offense, especially for a deep threat such as Denarius Moore . Perhaps it means that possession receiver Rod Streater gets a few extra targets, but who knows what we're going to get from Flynn? Running back Darren McFadden could see more carries along with more defensive attention.
