NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Buccaneers wide receivers Vincent Jackson has two injured ribs that need five weeks to fully heal. However, he may still play today versus the Cardinals. According to Rapoport, Jackson wants to play and is deciding whether or not to take a pain-killing injection prior to the game "to tough it out." He adds that the Bucs are thinking about holding Jackson out, especially since they are on bye next week.
We will know Jackson's official status in a couple of hours, but he is shaping up to be a very risky fantasy start. There's no doubt that he will be limited, and the chances of him exiting early due to re-injury seem high. Not to mention that facing cornerback Patrick Peterson isn't a walk in the park. With Mike Williams also iffy because of a hamstring injury, it could be a long day for new starting quarterback Mike Glennon. Doug Martin is in line to get a ton of touches.
