Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel requires an MRI on his right knee after taking a big hit to his leg on a scramble up the sideline. In addition, running back C.J. Spiller did not re-aggravate his injury on Thursday night but was clearly not 100-percent and only saw two carries in the first half. A big touchdown run salvaged what would have been a poor statistical performance.
The Bills really let this one get away from them. After a 10-0 start, Buffalo allowed 37 points in the final three quarters, including a huge 79-yard punt return TD just before the half. Losing Manuel would be a huge loss and severely hinder his development. There are a few plays per game where Manuel looks lost and makes poor decisions with the football. It certainly doesn't help that his best running back, Spiller, is also hurt and unable to play to the best of his ability. Luckily, Fred Jackson has been excellent, returning close to his 2011 pre-injury form thus far.
