San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews suffered yet another injury when he was concussed during his team's eventual loss to the Oakland Raiders. After exiting the game in the second quarter, he did not return. Mathews appeared to take a knee to the helmet on the play. He finished the game with three carries for eight yards.
There no details yet pertaining to his playing status in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. Mathews has been his usual self this season, rushing for just 3.5 yards per run on his 67 carries. He has been a low-ranking RB2 this season and moving forward, if Mathews is forced out of action, Danny Woodhead becomes the starter with Ronnie Brown behind him.
