New York Giants running back David Wilson is seeking a second opinion regarding his neck injury. A previous report stated he felt tingling in the area. He also did not practice Monday. The Giants have already re-signed RB Da'Rel Scott in anticipation of losing Wilson for one or multiple games.
Seeking a second opinion implies that the first opinion wasn't to Wilson's or the team's liking. Missing multiple games would only add fuel to the wild forest fire raging against the former Virginia Tech runner this season. Wilson being the biggest disappointment of the season is debatable. After Andre Brown's injury in the preseason, Wilson's stock, which was already rising, hit another gear as he rose well into the second round of many drafts. His season isn't quite over but in the eyes of some, it already is. Scott will be the featured back with Brandon Jacobs behind him.
