Just in case the Atlanta Falcons scenario wasn't grim enough, FoxSports' NFL Insider Jay Glazer is reporting the team fears wide receiver Julio Jones will miss the remainder of the season with a right foot injury. Jones caught eight passes for 99 yards in Monday's loss to the Jets, but he sat out briefly in the second half and was seen hobbling out of the x-ray room. Jones leads the NFL with 41 receptions and all wide receivers with 580 receiving yards.
Glazer reports the initial exam revealed a season-ending injury, but Jones will go for a second opinion on Wednesday. The worst case scenario would be crushing for a 1-4 team hoping to rally after their bye week . The Falcons are currently without injured running back Steven Jackson and wide receiver Roddy White remains limited with an ankle and new hamstring injury. Harry Douglas ' fantasy value would shoot up into WR3 range by default. Matt Ryan 's would not.
