Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has looked at the tape, run through all of the possibilities, the risks and the rewards, and he has come to what he says was a '"tough decision." Matt Schaub will remain his starting quarterback for Sunday's game versus the Rams. Schaub has thrown an interception returned for a touchdown in four consecutive games and is coming off one of the worst performances of his career -- three turnovers, no touchdowns, 4.9 yards per pass versus the 49ers. However, Kubiak said he thinks Schaub, not backup QB T.J. Yates , gives the team its best chance to win
Am I the only one who thinks Schaub is going to have a big game this weekend? He's at home, and he has a great matchup since the Rams have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in every game this year, including last week to he lowly Jaguars. For all of the criticism he has taken lately, I think Schaub will be focused and ready to quiet the doubters for at least one week. Kubiak picking Schaub over Yates is good news for every Texans receiver.
