The Buffalo Bills opted to only give running back C.J. Spiller 19 snaps out of 70 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He used that playing time to rush 10 times for 55 yards. Spiller continues to play on a bad ankle which has cut into his snaps and hurt his overall play.
Spiller is actually so good that he's still averaging 4.2 yards per carry on 84 rushes this year, but he's never really been 100-percent this year. Before the ankle, it was a quad and before that a knee. Some guys seem to be too fast for their own good. Spiller's rest of season ranking is outside the Top 15. Fred Jackson is having a very nice year and he's going to be a part of the offense all season long. This really hurts any big-time potential for Spiller, even if he gets fully healthy.
