The Cowboys will probably be without their best rushers on both sides of the ball Sunday against the Eagles. According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, running back DeMarco Murray "believes there is a chance he plays this weekend," despite the sprained MCL in his left knee.
"Depends how he feels Friday," Glazer adds.
Defensive end Demarcus Ware has a quad strain. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Ware will be out 3-4 weeks with the injury, but Glazer disputes that, stating Ware might miss just a week or two.
The Cowboys are so banged up along their defensive front, and although they held their own last night versus the Redskins, they present a good matchup for the Eagles and their likely starting quarterback in Week 7, Nick Foles.
I don't care if Murray thinks he can play this weekend. As we've seen a gazillion times, athletes are extremely optimistic about their own health and ability and always want to play. Backup running back Lance Dunbar is out with a hamstring injury, so go pick up rookie Joseph Randle . He is not an impressive runner, but he got 13 touches after Murray left last night's game and could see 15-20 touches against the Eagles' soft defense
