Packers WR Randall Cobb placed on injured reserve/designated to return

We won't see Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb @rcobb18 on the football field until at least Week 15. That was made certain today as the Packers placed Cobb on injured reserve/designated to return. It means Cobb won't be eligible to practice for at least six weeks and can't play for at least eight weeks. Cobb suffered a fractured fibula during Sunday's win in Baltimore.

Fantasy Analysis:

Cobb will be available for only two games before most fantasy leagues end. And obviously, there is no guarantee that Cobb will be ready to play by Week 15 or, if he is, that he will take on a full complement of snaps. You can probably drop him if you need the roster spot. Jordy Nelson @JordyRNelson will now be Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12' go-to wideout for the rest of the season. James Jones, who is dealing with a PCL sprain right now and is questionable for Week 7, will be the No. 2 WR when healthy. Tight end Jermichael Finley @JermichaelF88 will see more targets, and rookie wideout Jarrett Boykin @BoyKinHeCatch stands to see a huge increase in playing time. He filled in for Cobb on Sunday and caught a 43-yard pass. He's worth picking up in deeper leagues.
